H2020: supporting innovations that reduce risk of climate change
BRIGAID is an international consortium of Universities, including the Technical University Delft and Oxford University, business & innovation experts and technology incubators, that aim to support innovations that reduce the risks from climate-related events such as heat waves, droughts, wildfires, heavy precipitation, storms and floods.
Although there is no lack of research institutes and entrepreneurs that develop innovative technical and non-technical solutions, many fail to complete the innovation cycle. The result is that an enormous potential of developed but insufficiently tested innovations fails to reach the market and reduce impacts from climate change. We establish structural support for innovations that are ready for validation in field tests and real life demonstrations, allowing them to make final improvements and achieve the status ‘system complete and qualified”
The Funding Company is part of BRIGAID and with the assistance of it’s partners in the European Funding Alliance, supports the climate innovations in 19 countries throughout Europe with gaining access to grants, tax credits and investment capital. We do this by building a framework for investment and supporting the start-ups with business planning, to make themselves more attractive for potential investors.
