The current healthcare system is rapidly changing due to demographic, policy and technological developments. Future healthcare will be aimed at repairing or maintaining the patients potential to function and participate socially and economically. Not the illness or condition, but the operational freedom and control of private citizens will play a central role in future treatments.
Therefore Fontys Hogeschool based in the Netherlands, is setting up a new platform, containing regional companies, employers in healthcare and research institutes, to increase the quality of education at all levels. This is done to match future demand. The project aims to strengthen the innovation potential within the Dutch cluster for Life Sciences & Health, by educating healthcare professionals for the future and to increase the adaptive capacity of end users to quickly deploy new solutions and innovations.
